What Is the Valley Ultimate Fall League?
The Valley Ultimate Fall League is a coed youth program designed for high school and middle school players who wish to continue playing in the fall season. This league is intended to be a fun, competitive environment that will help players of all experience levels develop their skills.
The league will be divided into two divisions: One for students in grades 6th through 8th and one for students in grades 9 through 12.
Who is eligible to play in the league?
The league is open to all high school and middle school students in the region (grades 6 through 12). There will be a maximum of 90 players admitted to each league on a first come, first-served basis.
What are the dates of the league?
Each league session runs from 1pm to 3:30pm. Each session involves a 60 minute training session or “practice” followed by a 90 minute game against another team. The dates for the league are:

In addition, some league high school players may participate in a Youth Regional tournament in Northampton on the weekend of 10/13-14. See below for details!
Do I need to attend all of the sessions?
Attendance at all sessions is strongly encouraged, but if you need to miss one or two sessions you can still play in the league.
How long are the sessions?
All sessions are from 1 pm to 3:30 pm. Each session has a 60 minute practice, followed by a 90 minute game.

Who are the League Directors?
Joe Costello is the league director of the High School League and Suna Turgay is the director of the Middle School League.
Who are the coaches?
Each team will have an experienced, dedicated coach.
Where will we play?
All league events will take place at the Oxbow Marina in Northampton, MA.
How much does it cost?
The cost will be $75 per player. In addition, all players must be USAU members. All payments will be made online via PayPal, and will be part of the registration process. You are not registered until payment is made.
Scholarships are available for both the league fee and for USAU fees. Send an email to the league director if you need more information on scholarships.
Youth Regionals Teams
There is an awesome new Youth event in Northampton this fall! The Northeastern Youth Fall Cup will be held at Oxbow Marina October 13-14!
The Northeastern Youth Fall Cup is a non-championship USAU event that is
“…for new teams and players, as well as existing teams. The “new” Youth Fall Cups will provide an additional, accessible opportunity for youth ultimate players, opposite the traditional spring school season and the summer club events, with an emphasis on new players and/or teams.
These events have been redesigned to encourage players who have never attended an ultimate tournament to participate. Players can compete with a one-time event membership, an affiliate membership or a youth intro membership (if they qualify), as well as a traditional USA Ultimate youth membership.”
Valley Ultimate is planning on sending a team in the U20 Boys Division and the U20 Girls Division.
The cost to participate is $45/person.

Valley Ultimate’s Fall Cup players are strongly encouraged to register for our U20 Fall League and will be expected to attend all league sessions. Our Fall Cup teams will benefit from league sessions as practice time with their teammates and coaches.
Eligibility:
** All players must not turn 20 or older during 2018.
** All players are strongly encouraged to participate in the 2018 Valley Ultimate U20 Fall Youth League
** All players must be USA Ultimate members. [Paid players due, signed online waiver]
** New for 2018: All players must have been enrolled in high school during the academic year immediately preceding the USAU Youth Club Championships. This means that college players are no longer allowed to participate on YCC teams.
** All players must abide by all USAU eligibility rules.

Fall Cup Cost:
The player fee is set by USAU and will be $45/player. According to USAU, this accommodates:
– Minimum of six games on regulation, lined fields with encroachment buffers
– Active scorekeepers and stat-keepers on each field
– Saturday night dinner/event
– Player Packs with a disc and other swag
– Trophies and medals for 1st, 2nd, and SOTG
– Tournament hotel with discounted rates
– Onsite merchandise vendor
How does registration work?
There are three registration steps:
1) Login to your USAU membership account and make sure you’ve signed the online waiver and paid your USAU dues.
2) Pay the the appropriate fee via PayPal using one of these links:

You can use a credit card and you do not have to create a PayPal account. We are only accepting payments online. Make sure your USAU Membership is up-to-date.
3) Fill out and submit the online registration form. You must submit your payment using PayPal before completing the online registration form.
