“Club ultimate? What’s that?”

Club ultimate has three divisions: Open, Women’s, and Mixed-gender. It is an opportunity for players of all ages. Each division also includes teams ranging from intermediate-level to the top teams in the country like Ironside, Brute Squad, and Slow White.

The club season runs through the summer and fall, ending in a series of tournaments called Sectionals, Regionals (includes all the top teams from Sectionals), and Nationals (includes all the top teams from Regionals). All teams that register with USAU with eligible rosters qualify for their Sectional tournament. Sections are created geographically, and Valley Ultimate’s teams compete in the Western New England (WNE) Section.

There are so many talented players in our area!

Player commitment levels can vary from team to team. Some teams practice and go to tournaments all summer in preparation for Sectionals/Regionals/Nationals, but it is also common for teams to form for fun, occasional practicing and tournament play before Sectionals in the fall.
