September 2016 Board Meeting

2015-09-29 19.12.56The September 2016 Board meeting will take place on Wednesday, 9/21 from 7-8pm at the the Bluebonnet Diner in Northampton, MA. Anyone with any interest in helping grow Ultimate in the Valley is welcome to attend. Discussion topics will include:

  • The 3rd Annual Hatgiving tournament
  • Oxbow Event Planning
  • Outreach programs
  • Coaching opportunities

If you’re not a board member and you plan on attending the meeting, please email josh@valleyultimate.org so we can plan for the proper numbers at the diner.

Game time tomorrow!

Solstice SunHey Summer Solstice 2016 Players!
Here’s the schedule for tomorrow.  Game play will be 6/1 in general, with offense deciding gender ratios. Team assignments can be found on the player status page.
Reminders:
  • All games will be played at Oxbow Marina in Northampton, MA
  • The first game will BEGIN at 9am.  PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY.  Player check in runs from 8:15am to 8:45am.
  • The awards ceremony will conclude by 4:30pm.
  • There will be some water at the fields, but we STRONGLY ENCOURAGE all players to bring a GALLON OF WATER with them as they arrive to use throughout the day.
  • Remember to bring A DARK AND A WHITE shirt/jersey to wear.
VERY IMPORTANT DETAILS:
 
Drive 15mph on Island Road.
 
No dogs. At all.
 
No food vendors.
 
 
Its going to be a beautiful day!

*Saturday, June 4, 10:00-2:30, behind the UMass football stadium
*Sunday, June 5, 10:-2:30, behind the UMass football stadium
*Saturday, June 11, 10:00-2:30

5/26 Board Meeting

Hatgiving2014The Valley Ultimate Board just met in Hadley and worked on lots of upcoming projects:

  • Summer Youth League: Starts 6/7: Sign up here!
  • Solstice Hat Tournament on 6/29: Sign up here!
  • Out outreach program is continuing. Terry Plotkin been to Frontier 3 times and will be continuing the program through the fall and possibly into next spring.

The next Board meeting will be scheduled soon. Anyone with any interest in helping grow Ultimate in the Valley is encouraged to attend!

Registration is now open for Valley Ultimate’s Summer Youth League!

The league run from June 7th through July 8th at the Oxbow Marin Fields in Northampton, MA. The league costs $40 and there will be 8 sessions run by elite Pioneer Valley coaches such as Leila Tunnel and Joe Costello. The sessions are scheduled for 6/7, 6/10, 6/14, 6/17, 6/21, 6/24, 7/1, and 7/8.
