PLOW seeks to create a welcoming environment for all female-identifying and non-binary players the area in order to create a competitive and fun team in the valley. The team strives to be hard-working with a positive attitude and a commitment to growing womxn’s ultimate while still promoting spirited play. PLOW is a group of fun-loving, hard-working and ocean-swimming players and we’d love for you to join us in 2019!

In 2018 PLOW brought together a variety of talented and spirited players in the Pioneer Valley to play in three tournaments during the season as well as a number of unsanctioned tournaments and scrimmages throughout the year. PLOW improved steadily throughout the 2018 season through practices and scrimmages, and placed second in the Women’s Western New England Club Sectionals after a tough and competitive game.

In 2019 PLOW hopes to continue spirited play while fostering the growth of competitive ultimate for womxn in the New England area. PLOW is a team concept that was first created in the summer of 2015(?) that would connect all of the female identifying ultimate players in the Valley. The goal was and is still to create a sustainable club playing option for women in the Valley, and to include youth players in a club playing experience. In its first year, PLOW held several practices and competed in a couple of tournaments.

In 2016, PLOW did not compete at Sectionals. In fact, only a total five women’s teams competed at WNE Club Sectionals. Only 10 women’s teams competed at NE Regionals.

In 2017, PLOW was revitalized by the energy of local women to fill two rosters to compete in the club series. PLOW became PLOW and WOLP and were the only women’s teams in the WNE Section. WOLP won the Section and competed at NE Regionals against the top women’s club teams in the NE Region.

In 2018, PLOW hopes to keep all of our energy and talent on one roster. We plan to organize early in the summer and create a regular season schedule that will include practices and tournaments in preparation for the Club series.
